I am a sophomore at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith majoring in Secondary English Education. When you compare my profile to others listed, you may find that I charge a considerable amount less than other people. I chose to do this because I want to be available to every child who is in need of help.

Experience

I have completed several English and writing courses including: Composition I, Composition II, and creative writing. I've also completed math courses up to Trigonometry. I love being a tutor because I know that learning is not always easy, and sometimes people just need a little help. I am currently preparing for a future as a high school English teacher and can’t wait to graduate college and get started on my career.

Hobbies

When it comes to English, breaking a sentence down and labeling its parts is not easy for everyone. I’ll admit that I struggled with it up until High School. I remember having to learn lists of words but never knowing how they went with each other. In my junior year of High School I had an amazing teacher who taught me how words interact with each other, and I found that knowing this made it much easier to pick out and label a sentence. I hope to share this knowledge with others, and show them that sentence structure isn’t really as hard as it has been made out to be. I’m strong at math, though English is my specialty. I spend my weekends either buried inside of a book, or writing one of my own. I have had a few poems published in local magazines and look forward to one day publishing my own novel.
